Period. \nRobert Gordon\, lobbyist for the Sierra Club\, Michigan chapter\, who will take us through the latest issues with the statewide voice for the nation’s oldest\, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization and how we can help. \nJamie Lowell\, board member for MILegalize\, who will update us about the current and future state of cannabis laws and possible ways to volunteer with their efforts. \nPhoebe Hopps\, President and Founder\, Women’s March Michigan\, will discuss what the numbers have been over the last two years\, what we do when we’re not marching\, what’s coming up\, the struggles of multiple resistance groups and how people can help/join.

DESCRIPTION:Swing Left GP & Friends Clawson Canvass: Our group’s first canvass is set for Saturday\, September 23\, 2017. 10 am to 1pm (Rain date: Sunday\, September 24\, 2017\, 11am to 2pm). \nMeet at Clawson City Park\, 935 N. Custer Ave.\nLOOK FOR THE TABLE WITH BLUE BALLOONS. \nSchedule:\n10:00 am – 11:00 am – Informational breakfast\, socializing\, and brief canvass training.\n11:00 am – 1:00 pm – Conduct canvass with a partner.\n1:00 pm – Return to Clawson Park. (We will wait for any stragglers.) \nWe will pair up for the Clawson canvass. Each team will be assigned approximately 30 addresses to contact. This should take 2 hours or less for each team. If you do not have a partner in mind\, you will meet one at the morning breakfast. Hope to see you there!!!
