How do we stay focused, keep from “burning out” as overwhelming news stories pour into our Facebook feeds…and really make a difference in our own communities? Events posted here are focused around local, organized opportunities that support our mission in the 11th District. You’ll be in good company with other Indivisible members, making a difference and working with other resisters.

FAM Plymouth/Canton and FAM Livonia/Westland Monthly Meeting

We’re turning the focus from the candidates to the causes in March and joining forces with our FAM Livonia/Westland group. Meeting being held in the FREEDOM ROOM (Lower Level)
Our featured speakers will be:
Renay Weiss-Stansell, Legislative Lead from the Washtenaw County Chapter for Moms Demand Action-MI. It’s time to get involved with gun control. Period.
Robert Gordon, lobbyist for the Sierra Club, Michigan chapter, who will take us through the latest issues with the statewide voice for the nation’s oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization and how we can help.
Jamie Lowell, board member for MILegalize, who will update us about the current and future state of cannabis laws and possible ways to volunteer with their efforts.
Phoebe Hopps, President and Founder, Women’s March Michigan, will discuss what the numbers have been over the last two years, what we do when we’re not marching, what’s coming up, the struggles of multiple resistance groups and how people can help/join.
